Cooper Power Systems initiates and welcomes various opportunities to interact with our customers. Our industry experts exhibit at trade shows around the world, present at conferences, and lead training courses in our factories and at our customer sites. Use the calendar below to find upcoming opportunities to meet with Cooper Power Systems Cooper Power Systems is participating in the Edison Electric Institute Transmission, Distribution and Metering Conference in Chicago, Illinois, on April 29-May 1, 2013. Dan Arden, Cooper Power Systems Director of Global
Products – Enterprise Software, is presenting a paper about the Objectives, Results, and Challenges of Integrated Volt/VAR Control. Utilities strive to deliver energy within an acceptable voltage range and at a target power factor. This presentation will provide an overview of a pilot project focused on centralizing volt/VAR control, with the objectives of achieving savings for the utility and for the customer and enabling both peak and 24/7 load reduction through voltage reduction, while also delivering a clearer picture of the system parameters. The speaker will address the elements of the business case, project scope, challenges, and results. Daniel Arden has worked in the Utility industry for 18 years, designing, developing, and delivering Advanced Analysis applications for generation, transmission, and distribution centers. His expertise
includes Energy Management Systems (EMS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Distribution Automation (DA), Demand Response (DR), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Daniel has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, with a speciality in Power Systems Engineering. Dan is a Member of IEEE and a participant in Distribution Automation and Distribution Reliability committees and the Volt-VAR Management Task Force.Cooper Power Systems initiates and welcomes various opportunities to interact with our customers.
